Hillarys Foreshore
A short 25-minute drive north of Perth CBD, Hillarys foreshore is a beautiful coastal area where Hillarys Boat Harbour, Hillarys Marina, Hillarys Marina Lighthouse, Hillarys Marina Beach, Hillarys Yacht Club, and Western Australia’s only underwater aquarium – AQWA, are located. It is a popular destination for tourists and locals alike, offering a range of activities such as swimming, fishing, picnicking, boating, and a wide range of other sea sports activities.
Hillarys Boat Harbour
Hillarys Boat Harbour and Hillarys Boardwalk are often used to refer to this popular tourist attraction where tourists can shop, dine, visit AQWA, swim in the sheltered water within Hillarys Marina, or take Rottnest Fast Ferries to Rottnest Island.
The Walk
There are plenty of car parking all around Hillarys Marina. You may start by walking to Hillarys Marina Lighthouse located on the northern end of the breakwater to have a good view of Hillarys Marina and Southern Breakwater from the Hillarys Marina Lighthouse viewing platform.
From Hillarys Marina Lighthouse, walk close to the water around Hillarys Marina and cross Bascule Bridge connecting Hillarys Marina Beach to Hillarys Boardwalk.
Have a coffee at a café on Hillarys Boardwalk before heading back to your car either following the same route crossing Bascule Bridge or by Hillarys Marina beach walking paths.
The one-way distance between Hillarys Marina Lighthouse and Hillarys Boardwalk is approximately 1 km.
