Glendalough Open Space
Located within the suburb of Glendalough and is just a 15-minute drive from Perth CBD, Glendalough Open Space is open grassed parkland with 3 small lakes.
Glendalough Open Space is less than 30m from the southeast of Herdsman Lake separated by Jon Sanders Drive. Although located just next to and on the eastern side of Jon Sanders Drive, the elevated ground between this open grassed parkland and Jon Sanders Drive creates a natural sound barrier such that visitors in this parkland can hardly hear the traffic noise from Jon Sanders Drive. Visitors will enjoy the quietness in this well-hidden parkland.
There are sandy walking trails that run around the 3 lakes as well as between these lakes. It takes only around 15 minutes (around 1 km) to walk on the walking trails around the lakes. The 2 gazebos and many of the park benches are quite well located in the parkland for visitors to sit, enjoy the views of the lakes and watch a wide variety of bird species.
The open space is an excellent picnic venue and lunch spot for nearby office workers.
This parkland has a car park which can be accessed via Parkland Drive.
