A short 25-minute drive southwest of Perth CBD, East Fremantle is an affluent and charming riverside suburb, with a population of around 8000.

The East Fremantle waterfront area by the bank of the Swan River is probably the most popular destination for locals and visitors. Whether for walking, jogging, cycling, having a coffee break, or just chilling off, people enjoy East Fremantle waterfront area’s serene and stunning river views.

The Walk

There are plenty of roadside parking along Riverside Road alongside the riverside trails, and you may start your walk on the riverside walking trails at any point between Stirling Bridge and John Tonkin Reserve, which are approximately 1.5km apart.

What about having a coffee break or a lunch at the end of the walk?  The riverfront Dome Cafe and Zephyr Café, both on Riverside Road, are the popular places.
