Walk by The Indian Ocean: Trigg Beach

West Coast Drive

The 6km West Coast Drive by the Indian Ocean coast stretches from Sorrento Beach in the north to Trigg Beach in the south.

West Coast Drive runs through 5 adjacent coastal suburbs – Sorrento, Marmion, Watermans Bay, North Beach, and Trigg.

Only a 25-minute drive from Perth CBD, the scenic coastal walking paths alongside West Coast Drive is a popular walking/jogging destination for locals and visitors.  The walking paths are generally on high ground well above sea level thus offering unblocked distant views of the beautiful Indian Ocean, as well as the reef, the coastal rock formations, and beach activities.

The one-way distance between Surfing WA Trigg Beach and Mettam’s Pool is approximately 1.2km.   The distance is good for a 30-minute slow and relaxed morning or evening walk.  As well, you will enjoy the ocean views and the ocean breeze.  And, there is ample roadside parking along West Coast Drive.

Check out the Surfing WA webpage for information about the new Surfing WA Trigg Beach complex, to be ready in 2022.
