Safety Bay foreshore
Safety Bay foreshore is within the Rockingham city and is around 50 km (31 miles) southwest of the Perth CBD and 5 km (3 miles) south of Rockingham city centre.
The section of Safety Bay foreshore sealed pathway between Malibu Road and Safety Bay Yacht Club is flat and lined by beautiful pine trees. On a cool day, with the cool breeze from the Indian Ocean, it is really relaxing and enjoyable to walk or jog on the foreshore.
The one-way distance of the foreshore pathway between Malibu Road and Safety Bay Yacht Club is 2.1 km (1.3 miles).
Safety Bay Beach Boat Ramp, around 800 m (0.5 miles) from Safety Bay Yacht Club, offers good view of Tern Island Nature Reserve from afar.
Safety Bay Yacht Club
Founded in 1947, Safety Bay Yacht Club is the oldest Yacht Club in the Rockingham Area. Safety Bay Yacht Club promotes sailing as a sport and hosts a wide variety of regattas and social events throughout the year. Check out their website for more information.
Tern Island Nature Reserve
From Safety Bay Yacht Club, you may continue to walk to Tern Island Nature Reserve if it is not closed for access. Tern Island Nature Reserve is subject to seasonal closures during summer and spring to ensure nest birds are not disturbed.
