The Swan River, Point Walter Sandspit, and Mosman Park foreshore as viewed from Point Resolution Reserve

Walk by the Swan River: Point Resolution Reserve

Point Resolution Reserve

Point Resolution Reserve is a large reserve with an area of 8.45 hectares in the suburb of Dalkeith and is a 20-minute drive southwest of Perth CBD.

The Reserve is surrounded by the Swan River on 3 sides – east, south, and west.  The upper part of the Reserve is a huge grassed parkland that provides scenic views across the Swan River and the foreshores across the river.  Applecross foreshore is in the east, Point Walter is in the south, and Peppermint Grove and Mosman Park foreshores are in the west of the Reserve.  You can see the Point Walter sandspit from the Reserve.

If you drive, you can access the Reserve from Victoria Avenue by a sealed driveway and park by the sides of the driveway.  You don’t have to get out of your car to enjoy the scenic views.

You can walk or jog on the sealed walk/job paths around the grassed parkland in the upper part of the Reserve.  If you want to get close to the water, you can take the stairs to get down to the lower part of the Reserve to explore the dirt paths and the beach area.
