Mullaloo Beach
A coastal suburb of Perth within the City of Joondalup, Mullaloo is just a 30-minute drive north of Perth CBD.
Mullaloo’s beautiful Mullaloo Beach, on the Indian Ocean coast, is patrolled by the Mullaloo Surf Lifesaving Club every weekend and public holiday commencing October through to April. The primary area of patrol is within 400 m of the Mullaloo Surf Life Saving Club. The Mullaloo Surf Life Saving Club has over 500 volunteer patrolling members providing rescue, first aid, and water safety services. As such Mullaloo Beach is an ideal swimming beach for children of all ages with its refreshing shallow waters and soft clean white sand.
As well, there is another patrol set up at Mullaloo Beach North on weekends during the busy patrol season.
Tom Simpson Park
Tom Simpson Park, adjacent to Mullaloo Beach, is a great coastal foreshore park overlooking the beach that has plenty of space to play sports and have group gatherings under the shady trees. The park has many tables, benches, shelters, BBQ facilities, a children’s playground, drinking fountains, toilets, and showers.
The Walk
The shared paths that run between Mullaloo Beach and Oceanside Promenade connect to neighbouring beaches to the north and the south along the Indian Ocean coast. Some parts of the shared paths run alongside Oceanside Promenade.
The one-way distance on the shared paths between the Mullaloo Surf Life Saving Club and Key West Parking Station at Mullaloo Beach North is approximately 1.5 km.
From the shared paths, there are many beach-access paths if you want to walk on the beach.
Mullaloo Beach Lookout is about 500 m north of Key West Parking Station, so try to walk a bit more to visit the lookout.
Have more energy? Continue your walk on the well-connected shared paths to neighbouring beaches either to the north towards Ocean Reef or to the south towards Whitfords Beach.
