Walk by the Swan River: South Perth Foreshore

South Perth Foreshore

The great advantage of walking along the South Perth Foreshore is you have great unblocked views of Perth city across the Swan River throughout your walk.

From South Perth Foreshore, you can have great views of Perth city skyline, Kings Park and the Narrows Bridge, the freeway and railway crossing of the Swan River that connects South Perth to Perth city.

There are many car parks along the foreshore between South Perth Park and Mill Point Reserve.  You can start your walk at any point.  The flat walking paths are just by the bank of the Swan River, away from the car road.  The distance between South Perth Park and Mill Point Reserve is approximately 3.5km one-way.

Feel tired?  There are benches along the walking paths.  Just sit down at any point if you need to rest.  Or you can have a cup of coffee at one of the riverfront cafes such as The Boatshed Café and Mister Walker and enjoy the Perth city views.

You can continue walking under the Narrows Bridge to Mill Point Reserve.  The Canning River joins the Swan River here.

Check out the public artworks at Mindeerup, the recently completed gateway to South Perth at Mends Street Jetty Ferry Stop.
