Great view of the Perth City, the Swan River and Maylands Peninsula

Walk by the Swan River: Rivervale Foreshore

Rivervale Foreshore

The Rivervale foreshore has been transformed into a highrise apartment living estate.  It is good to know that the bitumen walk path that runs by the bank of the Swan River under the trees are mostly unaffected by the development.  You will be walking under the shade of the trees most of the time.

If you drive you may park at the Balbuk Reserve or the Hardey Park carpark.  The distance between the Balbuk Reserve and the Hardey Park is 2.5 km one-way.

Whether you start from the Balbuk Reserve or the Hardey Park, you will walk upslope to reach Bilya Kard Boodja Lookout and then walk downslope in either direction.  The lookout point also has a public carpark.

The lookout is a good rest point for enjoying the view of the Swan River, the low-lying Maylands Peninsula, and the Perth City.
