Claremont Foreshore is a 20-minute drive southwest of Perth CBD. The foreshore area is sheltered within the Freshwater Bay on the Swan River and the water here is calm. Claremont Fishing Jetty linking Claremont Foreshore Reserve is an excellent fishing spot.
Claremont Foreshore Reserve
Walking in the Claremont foreshore Reserve between Claremont Yacht Club and Mrs Herbert’s Park, including a walk on the Claremont Fishing Jetty, is a fantastic way to enjoy the view of the Swan River and the Claremont coastline from the Claremont Fishing Jetty.
There is no defined walk path. You will walk on the beach or the grassed area. You often meet other walkers walking their dogs because the foreshore area has a dog exercise area.
While on the Claremont Fishing Jetty, chat with the fishing enthusiasts about their catch. They will be happy to share their fishing stories and the excellent catch of the day.
You will walk past Alex Prior Park before arriving at Mrs Herbert’s Park.
Mrs Herbert’s Park
Mrs Herbert’s Park is an ideal venue for a family outing. Why? The Park is ideally located right on the calm waters of Freshwater Bay and has a children’s playground, picnic, and toilet facilities. The beach is an off-lead dog exercise area.
Claremont Museum and The Boat Shed which is part of the Museum are located within Mrs Herbert’s Park. Check out the Claremont Museum website if you want to learn more about Claremont Museum.
