Canning River Regional Park is very flat, therefore very easy to walk or jog or cycle, as well as for the wheelchairs. If you just want to enjoy a relaxed walk or jog or cycle in the Park, then you can just walk on the sealed and well-signed walking paths. If you are more adventurous, you can walk or jog (unfortunately cycling on the less well-defined trails can be a bit difficult) on the less-well-defined walk trails by the river banks. You choose the distance you want to walk or jog.
Within a 5-minute walk from Perth CBD and by the side of Langley Park, the Riverside Drive walk path between Point Fraser and Elizabeth Quay is a popular walking destination for office workers. Why not? The Swan River foreshore area is a great place to get away from the office for a very light exercise.
Heirisson Island is often overlooked as a walking destination, even though it is just outside Perth city centre. The island is just roughly a 15-minute walk from the city centre.
If you like walking by the river bank just next to the water, walking from JH Abrahams Reserve to Paul Hasluck Reserve allows you to do just that, walking just next to the Swan River. And while walking, you enjoy great unblocked views of the Perth city skyline, and South Perth and Applecross Foreshores over the Swan River.
Bayswater foreshore area that includes the adjacent Bayswater Riverside Gardens, A P Hinds Reserve, and the Baigup Wetlands is a great destination for walking, jogging, and running by the Swan River. Bayswater foreshore area is just 8 km northeast of the Perth CBD.
Walking or jogging by the river bank between Point Walter Reserve and Attadale Reserve is an enjoyable experience. You are just next to the Swan River, feel the cool breeze, see the people enjoying water sports, and have views of the Dalkeith, Mosman Park and Peppermint Cove foreshores, and Perth city skyline on the opposite sides of the Swan River.
The famous Three Gorges 三峡 on Yangtze River 长江 is best seen on a Yangtze River Cruise 长江游船. I went for the 4 days 3 nights downstream Yangtze River Cruise which sailed from Chongqing 重庆 to Yichang 宜昌. The cruise ended at Three Gorges Dam 三峡大坝 constructed within the largest of the Three Gorges 三峡, Xiling Gorge 西陵峡. The cruise travelled a total distance of approximately 650km.
The incredibly beautiful and dramatic Niagara Falls, with a height of 52m, is made up of three separate waterfalls: Horseshoe Falls on the Canadian side, Bridal Veil Falls, and American Falls on the US side.
Point Heathcote Reserve is where Canning River joins the Swan River to head towards Fremantle and the Indian Ocean.

The floating islands scenes were inspired by the quartzite sandstone pillar formations of Zhangjiajie Scenic Area 张家界风景名胜区. You have to be here to be amazed how the work of nature and how the power of water erosion of the land could create such spectacular landforms consisting of stone pillars, deep valleys, peak forests, natural bridges, and more.
May Drive Parkland is one of the most popular precincts in Kings Park. With well-maintained lawns, great play areas for the kids, free electric barbecues, and beautiful gardens, May Drive Parkland is the perfect place for gatherings of families and friends.
It is hard to imagine Claisebrook Cove was once a contaminated industrial land. What an excellent urban renewal success story! Walk around the inlet and you will be impressed by the stylish urban surrounds of Claisebrook Cove with waterfront apartments, cafes, alfresco dining venues, carefully designed gardens and walking paths, and the jetty.

Bilya Kard Boodja Lookout is a good rest point for enjoying the view of the Swan River, the low-lying Maylands Peninsula, and the Perth City.
Located less than 5km from Perth City and being very accessible, Lake Monger Reserve is quite well visited by tourists and locals living nearby.

From South Perth Foreshore, you can have great views of Perth city skyline, Kings Park and the Narrows Bridge, the freeway and railway crossing of the Swan River that connects South Perth to Perth city.
If you have a day free and just want a short drive out of Perth, visiting a fruit farm for “Pick Your Own Fruit” may be a good suggestion.

Maylands foreshore is actually a peninsula surrounded by the Swan River. The flat bitumen walk paths connect Tranby Reserve, Clarkson Reserve, and Maylands Foreshore Reserve by the Swan River. The walk from Tranby Reserve to Maylands Foreshore Reserve is roughly 2 kilometres one-way and is a very easy walk by the Swan River.

The flat walk paths between Burswood Park and Optus Stadium by the Swan River is very popular with walkers, joggers, and cyclists.
