Walk by The Swan River: Burswood Park <-> Taylor Reserve

Burswood Park <-> Taylor Reserve

The walk from Burswood Park to Optus Stadium by the Swan River is very popular among walkers.  However, for a change, you may walk from Burswood Park in the other direction towards South Perth.  Equally, you will be rewarded with great views of the Swan River, East Perth foreshore, Heirisson Island, and Perth city skyline on the other side of the Swan River.

You will be walking on high-quality dual-use riverside walking paths by the Swan River.  Starting from Burswood Park, you will walk past 4 huge grassed reserves.  Charles Paterson Park is adjacent to Burswood Park.  You will walk underneath the Causeway Bridge.  You will then walk past McCallum Park before arriving at the Department of Water and Environmental Regulation complex at the Taylor Reserve.

The one-way distance between Burswood Park and the Department of Water and Environmental Regulation complex in the Taylor Reserve is roughly 2 km.

On weekends, you often see huge crowds of families, friends, and groups having picnics and enjoying outings in these 4 huge grassed parks.

Burswood Park is a popular location for community events.  Burswood Park Sunday markets, Burswood Peninsula 5km parkrun, Telethon Community Cinemas, and Yoga in the Park are just some of them.  Want to find out more, check out the Burswood Park webpage

For the More Energetic Walkers….

For the more energetic walkers, you may continue walking towards South Perth or make a detour at Causeway Bridge to cross over Causeway Bridge to Heirisson Island, or East Perth foreshore, or Point Fraser and Riverside Drive foreshore.  Check out walking blogs for more about South Perth, Heirisson Island, East Perth, and Point Fraser.
