May Drive Parkland is one of the most popular precincts in Kings Park. With well-maintained lawns, great play areas for the kids, free electric barbecues, and beautiful gardens, May Drive Parkland is the perfect place for gatherings of families and friends.
May Drive Parkland is on the western side of Kings Park. The place has easy car access and plenty of car parks.
Lycopod Island
Lycopod Island is a popular children’s playground with access boardwalks from two sides. One of the boardwalks features Stromatolite to encourage children’s curiosity to learn more about Stromatolite. May Drive Parkland also features other children’s play areas and giant dinosaur sculptures.
Zamia Café
Surrounded by a beautiful garden and overlooking the lake, Zamia Café is a very popular meeting place for families, friends, and community groups. The café is the perfect spot to enjoy breakfast or lunch or a coffee break. If you feel the café is too crowded, you may grab a takeaway coffee, and walk around the parkland or sit down and drink your coffee at one of the benches in the parkland while you enjoy the greenery around you.
Broadwalk Vista
On a cool day, Broadwalk Vista is an excellent spot to enjoy a walk, jog, run, or to relax and chat with friends. I like that Broadwalk Vista is designed without trees blocking your vision as you walk, jog or run on the boardwalk towards DNA Tower, which is 1.5 km from May Drive Parkland or is just a short gentle upslope walk away on an open grass field.
