Two Shores Garden
Two Shores Garden (France side: Jardin des Deux-Rives, Germany side: Garten der zwei Ufer) is a public park at the shores of the River Rhine of two countries: France and Germany, between the cities of France’s Strasbourg and Germany’s Kehl.
The two shores are connected by a 250m-long footbridge, Bridge of The Two Shores (Passerelle des Deux Rives).
You have this extraordinary feeling that there is no border between France and Germany as you cross over on the footbridge from France to Germany, Jardin des Deux-Rives becomes der Garten der zwei Ufer, or the other way around and enjoy the scenic views of River Rhine.
Two Shores Garden serves as a beautiful link between France and Germany.
The garden is popular with both French and German walkers and cyclists, especially in the evenings and weekends.
The Walk
Whether you start from the Frence side or the German side, walk along both banks of the River Rhine, cross the footbridge, and enjoy the river views from the banks and the footbridge.
You can continue to explore the walking paths in the garden on both shores.
