Chowder Bay
A 25-minute drive northeast of Sydney CBD, Chowder Bay is on the shoreline of the Sydney suburb of Mosman.
Clifton Gardens Reserve, located by the coast of Chowder Bay, is where families head for picnics, swimming, and other sea sports.
Chowder Bay has some very charming eateries that have views of Sydney Harbour and the coastal suburb Vaucluse over the water of Sydney Harbour.
The Sydney Institute of Marine Science has its jetty and some research facilities at Chowder Bay.
The Walk
The road access to Chowder Bay is Chowder Bay Road. There is a bus stop just outside Drift Cafe on Chowder Bay Road so you can take public transport to Chowder Bay.
You may start your walk at the end of Chowder Bay Road by taking the walking paths towards the eateries, then you will take the stairs through the eateries down to the beach area of Clifton Gardens Reserve.
This is a short 500m walk with stairs.
